LANDLORDS IN WALES 🚨

A new legal requirement came into force on 1 June 2026 and if you have existing occupation contracts, you have just 14 days to comply.

The new legislation strengthens protection against discrimination for people who receive benefits and those with children. As a result, landlords must update their occupation contracts and provide contract-holders with either a written statement of variation or an updated written statement of the occupation contract by 14 June 2026.

Miss the deadline and you could face compensation claims from contract-holders, financial penalties, enforcement action and other legal consequences.

The deadline is closer than you think.
