Thank you to The Wingate Centre for inviting us to the official opening of Wingate Holidays.

It was inspiring to hear from the team about the vision behind Wingate Holidays and the incredible work The Wingate Centre does supporting their SEND clients and their families.

The Wingate Centre is one of four charities Legat Owen is fundraising for as part of our 40th anniversary celebrations – raising £40k for 40 years.

Yesterday, Wingate Holidays became official! The ribbon was cut, cakes were eaten, speeches were made and our biggest supporters there to celebrate with us.

Fundraisers, donors, corporate supporters, the people who've backed us for years, getting to see all the different parts of The Wingate Centre. Wingate Holidays, The Sunshine Cafe, our famous gym and not forgetting the polytunnel!

We know that once people step into The Wingate Centre and see it for themselves, they understand the importance of what we do and the SEND clients and families we support.

Yesterday we were thrilled to welcome Aphra Brandreth to officially cut the ribbon. General manager Ian Linton and chairman Neil McCallum spoke about why we created Wingate Holidays and didn't shy away from the honest reality of what it takes to run The Wingate Centre so we can continue to support our SEND clients and their families.

There were goody bags, homemade cakes, and more conversations than we could keep track of.

We're so proud of what Wingate Holidays will offer anyone who needs a holiday with accessible facilities.
