Faulkner Street is a few minutes on foot. Chester station isn't much further.

A two-bedroom end-terrace on Phillip Street in Hoole, with a recently installed shaker-style kitchen, newly fitted wardrobes in both double bedrooms and a traditional fireplace in the front living room. Heritage Open Days runs 11 to 20 September, and every event is free.

Bishop Lloyd's Palace on the Rows. A working conservation practice on Bridge Place. The red sandstone the whole city is cut from, read as geology rather than architecture.

The suspension bridge is the commute. Cross it and you're in the Rows in ten minutes; cross back and Handbridge goes quiet again.

Boughton does the hard part for you: ten minutes into the city centre, cafés and shops on the doorstep, and quick routes out for commuters. This one adds a house that's had everything done.

A full renovation, and not a cosmetic one. New kitchen, new bathroom, full rewire, new boiler, new flooring, redecorated throughout.
