We are incredibly privileged to host a very special Lunch & Learn next Wednesday, 25 March at Connect Dungannon, in collaboration with First Steps Women's Centre, Dungannon.
This unique Human Library experience will welcome women from a range of nationalities and cultures including East Timor, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Mexico, Lithuania, Poland and more.
It’s an opportunity to sit down, listen, and engage in real conversations, to hear individual stories, ask questions, and learn about the lived experiences, cultures and journeys of migrant women within our community.
What is a Human Library?
The aim is simple but powerful. To build understanding.
By creating a safe space for open, respectful conversation, the Human Library helps to challenge prejudice, break down barriers, and encourage stronger, more inclusive communities across cultural, social and religious differences.
First Steps Women’s Centre has been delivering training and education for over 25 years, including ESOL programmes that have supported people from more than 23 nationalities. This event reflects their ongoing work to create connection, understanding and opportunity across our local community.
