This page was set up to bring nostalgia, pride and positive vibes back into our town to remind people of the memories, businesses, characters and community spirit that shaped Dungannon, and to awaken the sense of belonging that still lives in all of us.
Let’s also remember the positives that still exist all around us today. Dungannon continues to have great businesses, large and small , from local supermarkets to independent ice cream parlours, from long-established jewellers and furniture stores to the many new enterprises now investing in our town.
There are businesses here that have supported local jobs, families, charities and commerce for decades, and continue to invest and grow despite changing times. That commitment deserves recognition and support.
Yes, towns evolve and communities change, but our history should teach us that diversity, respect and community spirit can be strengths when people feel connected and proud of where they live.
This page is not about negativity or division. It is about encouraging pride in our town, supporting local, strengthening community spirit and helping create a cleaner, safer and more welcoming Dungannon for everyone who calls it home.
Dungannon is not finished.
It is still our town.
And its best days can still lie ahead.
