Meet Mikey.

Mikey first worked alongside Dean as an apprentice in 2004, spending three years learning the trade and developing the craftsmanship, attention to detail and work ethic that continue to define his work today.

Fast forward to now and he’s worked alongside Dean for more than a decade and has been part of Windsor Developments since day one.

As one of our Site Foremen, Mikey leads projects from the front, coordinating trades, solving problems and ensuring work is delivered to the high standards our clients expect. If you’ve had the pleasure of Mikey working on your project, you’ll know exactly what he’s about. He takes enormous pride in his work and is always focused on delivering the very best result for our clients.

Alongside leading projects, Mikey has taken our apprentice Ruben under his wing, helping guide him through his apprenticeship and sharing the knowledge and experience he’s built up over the years. The same attention to detail and pride he brings to every project is something he’s now passing on.

Away from site, life is just as busy. Mikey is a proud dad to four boys, with baby number five on the way. Safe to say there are never many quiet moments at home, and there are always plenty of stories to keep the team entertained. 😉

We’re incredibly lucky to have Mikey as part of the Windsor team and grateful for the experience, dedication and craftsmanship he brings to every project.

The best renovations happen when great craftsmanship meets a clear vision.

For this project, we worked closely with the homeowner, Justine, to bring her ideas to life, carefully transforming and enhancing this beautiful period sitting room.

The rich colour palette, thoughtful furnishing choices and original architectural features combine to create a space that feels warm, elegant and inviting.

Our role was to deliver the vision with the care, attention to detail and quality craftsmanship it deserved.

The result is a room that’s not only beautiful to look at but one that’s designed to be enjoyed every day.

1 year with the team 👏

Ruben joined Windsor Developments exactly one year ago and he’s been a brilliant addition ever since.

At just 17, he’s working alongside Mikey as his apprentice and already showing a great attitude on site every day.

His favourite part of the job is seeing projects come together from start to finish, especially our Loch Lomond project (which we can't wait to share 😉).

According to Mikey, Ruben picks things up quickly, thinks ahead and always uses his initiative. These qualities make a huge difference on site.

He’s also somehow become the one in charge of the music in the van. 🤣

A calm, beautifully considered bathroom within our West End project.

High ceilings, traditional detailing, a freestanding bath, walk-in shower and bespoke double vanity. Every element carefully designed to feel timeless, practical and quietly luxurious.

Spaces like this are about more than finishes. They’re about creating homes that feel exceptional to live in, every single day.

The kind of bathroom you never want to leave.

Designed for long summer evenings, entertaining and everyday living.

This garden renovation formed part of a wider transformation of a Victorian ground and lower basement home in Edinburgh’s West End, following a complete refurbishment and extension of the property.

The garden itself came with significant challenges. Steep gradients, extremely limited access and substantial structural works meant the project required careful planning from day one. Heavy machinery had to be craned over the property, while approximately 40 tonnes of rubble was removed from site throughout the excavation process.

Our team delivered exceptional groundwork and retaining structures to create each level within the garden, carefully coordinating every transition, pathway and step run to ensure the finished space felt seamless, functional and beautifully connected to the home itself.

We also worked closely alongside our extended team throughout the project. Chris ensured the lighting was carefully framed and positioned to create the perfect atmosphere for summer evenings while Nickie worked alongside the team on the landscaping and finishing details across the garden.

Now complete, the garden has already become a space for entertaining friends, relaxing outdoors and making the most of city living during the summer months.

Projects like this are never just about construction. They’re about creating spaces people genuinely love spending time in.

We’ve just completed a stunning full renovation and extension on a beautiful Victorian double lower apartment in Edinburgh’s New Town. This was our second time working with our wonderful client, Penny, and it’s always a privilege to bring her vision to life.

From reimagining the layout to blending period features with modern design, every detail was carefully considered to create a timeless, elegant home that balances character with comfort.
