There’s a reason people keep choosing Eynsham. You can wander the village centre easily, from the square to St Leonard’s Church, past independent shops and into a pub without needing a plan.

There’s history everywhere if you slow down enough to notice it. The old abbey site doesn’t shout for attention, but it’s there, quietly reminding you how much has come before.

And then there’s the river. Pick up the Thames Path at Swinford Toll Bridge (still just 5p to cross by car) and you can walk for miles, whether it’s a short loop or all the way towards Oxford along the edge of Wytham Woods.
