-a chance to see what camera trap footage was captured by Eskdalemuir volunteers over the last couple of weeks
-a talk on specialist species found in Eskdalemuir and surrounding area from South West Scotland Environmental Information Centre

ONE WEEK TO GO! Join us in Gretna to explore and celebrate the Solway Coast and local coastal access, share stories about history, nature and landscape, let us know about how and why you access the coast, and any barriers you face.

2-4pm - Walk and Talk (free, booking essential: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1998538288821

4-7pm - drop-in event at the Richard Greenhow Centre - come for 5 minutes or stay for an hour! Free event, no booking required.

Come along for a cup of tea or coffee and to learn more about the SCAMP project.
We are gathering tales of the Solway Coast, and would love to hear yours! Let us know what makes this fantastic environment important to you by decorating a postcard or recording a voice note.
Help us to understand how coastal access can be improved and where there are issues with the Core Path network.

Solway Coast and Marine Project – Landscape Connections is an ambitious seascape scale nature restoration project covering 210 miles of the Solway coast and marine environment, made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. SCAMP Drop-in session, Litterpick and Bird Walk: Sandhead, 22nd September

Take action for nature and learn more about the Solway Coast and Marine Project and local birdlife at a beach litterpick and walk at Sandhead, with RSPB’s local engagement officers, Karen and Neal, and Antoine Lemaire, SCAMP’s Coastal Infrastructure Coordinator.

Or drop in between 4 and 7pm at the Sandhead Community and Bowling Club to find out about SCAMP and RSPB work in the area, volunteering opportunities, and to talk to us about coastal access.

A great evening at Boreland Village Hall learning about, making and searching for bats 🦇🔦 through our Nature Connections project with South West Scotland Environmental Information Centre

☕️ We heard all about bat species we have in D&G, where they live, what they eat and dispelled some myths!

✂️ Created our own bat puppets with artist Jess Raine

✨ Braved the dark and rain to spot Pipestrelles and a Daubenton (water bat) along the river path

Get hands on with a moth release at Xcel Project Outdoors Day 🦋 Thursday 6th August 1-4pm, open to all ages.

Get creative with Natural Paint Making at Tarras Valley 🎨 Thursday 13th August 10-1pm, open to all ages.

A chance to explore natural colours made from plants and earth, have a go at painting with colours from the Tarras Valley Nature Reserve.
Learn about how to look for and make your own natural paints and brushes with what is around us in nature with Old Mill Arts

This will be a dynamic and varied role, working with our culture, climate, community, land-use and biodiversity teams. The role will be integral to an exciting new chapter for the organisation as we work to launch a new identity for The Southern Uplands Partnership in the coming year.
