Fells View Barn is the perfect place for a solo traveller, a couple or two friends. (We are adults only and pet free).
Fells View Barn is all on one level and has no steps or stairs. There is a parking space with EV charger right next to the barn.

Autumn is coming but there are still plenty of things to do when you are staying in Fells View Barn.

🐿️Take the Little White Bus from Hawes to the Snaizeholme Red Squirrel Trail.

🧀 It’s a 15 minute walk to the Wensleydale Creamery (made famous by Wallace and Gromit).

🏞️💧 We have so many waterfalls in the Yorkshire Dales. From Hawes it’s a 2 mile walk to Hardraw waterfall or a short drive to Aysgarth Falls. Waterfalls are always better after the rain.

🏛️ Like your local history? It’s a 20 minute walk to the Dales Countryside Museum and about the same to Gayle Mill. (You can also do a tour at the Wensleydale Creamery).

🌉 The famous Ribblehead viaduct is a 20 minute drive away. The viaduct is in a stunning location as it is surrounded by the Yorkshire three peaks.

⛰️🏞️🥾We are surrounded by beautiful fells and dales which means there are lovely views and walks from the barn in every direction.

🍰☕🍽️Our little town of Hawes is a 10 minute walk away and has plenty of places to eat and drink.

👨‍🍳If you prefer to eat in, our barn has great cooking facilities too.

For cyclists

We have a cycle storage area under cover (not fully enclosed – but there is a waterproof bike cover available to borrow). We have ground anchors concreted into the floor behind the back of the barn – these are out of sight of anyone passing. The cycle storage area is suitable for two bikes and has had a tandem in it! The yard area between our house and the barn is covered by security cameras. Our area is great for road cyclists who like hill climbs (Buttertubs Pass and Fleet Moss Pass are both a very short distance away); E-bikers who enjoy stunning scenery and challenging hills; and lots of off-road options for mountain bikers. E-bike charging available (under cover). Host (Kev) is a keen cyclist and is very happy to help with any route advice. Kev also has a bike work stand and bike tools available to borrow if they are needed during your stay.
