As you are probably aware Waitrose is currently closed due to refurbishment, and will be reopening on October 1st. Although it is a key shop and destination for many people visiting Hythe, the Village has plenty of other brilliant businesses, many independent, to enjoy and support. Please remember the character and vibrancy of Hythe is down to having these excellent Shops, Cafes, Pubs, Restaurants and more.

It has, and continues to be a challenging time for many small and medium business owners, and we are lucky to have a good mix within Hythe, and in Dibden Purlieu as well. We dont have many empty units, and actually, we are a more attractive destination than many other towns and villages.

Please show your support and visit the Village with the best views, and appreciate what it has to offer as we need these businesses to thrive . Personally, I am grateful for their thoughtful, and superb customer service and just how much you can source just shopping in Hythe (and Dibden Purlieu too), and how many delicious food options we have too.
