Havering & Redbridge: Sell Now or Sit Tight?

Honestly? It depends on your property, your road, your price bracket and how quickly you need to move.

The Bank of England held the base rate at 3.75% again at the end of July and mortgage rates are still settling. Two-year fixed deals have been sitting anywhere between 4.9% and 5.6%.

House prices are up 2.7% nationally, but London prices actually fell over the same period.

Add the usual August slowdown and yes, it's a quieter market.

But quieter doesn't mean it's not selling. It means buyers are choosier and they're comparing your home against everything else on the market, not just the road you live on.
