The Weight of What Remains: A Poet's Journey Through Grief and Transformation 💀🥀

https://amzn.eu/d/00AVLTnr

I talk about my poetry collection, The Weight of What Remains, which was born from grief, memory, and learning to live after loss. I share how these poems explore not just loss but everything that remains—memories, questions, silence, and connection. I write from the rawness of grief and the belief that love doesn't end when a life does. Now, I'm bringing my words and story to life in a new way, inviting those who have experienced grief, loss, or transformation to join me on this journey.

A lifetime between what was
and what remains.

We look for meaning in life.
This book
leaves behind simple thoughts
not explanations,
but reasons to feel.

We did it, Dax. The book. It’s out there. And I’m proud of myself.”

I kept creating. I kept going. And made something meaningful out of what could have remained only pain.

Today, I Laura MacPherson get to call myself a published author. 🖤📖

To those who find there way to this book of poetry, there is a 7 minutes narrative written exploring between worlds that was profound, real and every ounce of hope I needed to keep going and a reminder that there is no ending to humanity only a continuation of life beyond the veil…..

There are places within us
we rarely allow anyone to enter.

Places built from grief,
regret, desire, fear…
and the things we never found the courage to say aloud.

But what happens
when we stop running from those places?

When we turn towards the shadows
instead of pretending they aren’t there?

This is not a podcast about having all the answers.

It is a place for the questions.

For the uncomfortable truths.
The memories that won’t stay buried.
The wounds that still speak.
And the parts of ourselves
we thought we had to hide to be loved.

Here, we don’t ask the darkness to leave.

We listen to what it came to tell us.

Some words are written because they refuse to stay silent.

THE WEIGHT OF WHAT REMAINS
A poetry collection by Laura MacPherson

A journey through grief, memory, love, loss, awakening and the things we carry long after someone is gone.

From the burial of what was,
through the decay,
the weight,
the stirring,
and finally…
the resurrection.

For anyone who has ever had to learn how to live with what remains.

🖤 COMING SOON 🖤

Faith and fear are born from the same darkness. One becomes devotion. The other becomes despair. The well never changes only the one who drinks from it.🥀💀

May you leave this world softer than you found it,
wiser than the pain that shaped you,
and unafraid of the stars waiting beyond this life.

Carry love gently.
Carry yourself gently.
And when the silence finally calls you home,
may your spirit remember—
you were always made of something eternal.

Blessed be.

We loved with a love
that outlived the grave itself
the kind that turns mourning into worship
and memory into immortality.
