Our Brazilian clients were looking to purchase a three-bedroom pied-à-terre in Prime Central London to use when they visit the city.

We identified properties across numerous postcodes, both on and off market, before our clients fell in love with a three-to-four-bedroom turnkey house on St Lukes Street in Chelsea which we sourced off-market.

Our close relationship with the agents was the reason we were able to present this property to our clients, and secure a £250,000 reduction on the asking price.

The latest UBS Global Real Estate Bubble Index 2026 now considers London safe from the risk of a collapse in real estate values.

Although UBS acknowledges this lack of price growth in recent years, the bank now feels confident that the relative value for money it currently represents, and its enduring appeal to international buyers, mean it is safe from the threat of an economic bubble.

This is good news for the overall market, and suggests that London is a safer buyer bet than high and elevated risk cities, including Zurich, Dubai, Miami, and Tokyo.

Fresh details are starting to emerge about how the new High Value Council Tax Surcharge, for homes worth £2m or more, will be implemented.

Valuers from the Valuation Office part of HRMC will be going door-to-door to value homes, with homeowners who refuse to admit them facing fines of up to £200.

They will be particularly busy in the boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea, Wandsworth, Richmond upon Thames and Westminster, where it is estimated that residents will together pay £270m-per-year, half of the entire national HVCTS tax income.

Homeowners will be invested in keeping theirs as low as possible. Although the current tax bands are reasonable, starting at £2,500 per year up to a maximum £7,500 per year, it is more than possible that they could increase in future, impacting on a property’s resale value.

Our client had purchased a newly converted residential apartment, but wanted to make a few changes to better suit their lifestyle.

With works subject to the terms of the lease and certain alterations requiring consent, careful planning was needed before any refurbishment could begin.

What initially began as the management of a turnkey property evolved into a comprehensive eight-month refurbishment programme. We coordinated the works from start to finish, working with the client, contractors, developer and building management to create a home tailored to the client’s requirements.
