15 years later and this is why we do what we do 🥹
Sophie and Kristjan wrapping up their conversation, and it doesn't get much more rewarding than this.
Sophie admits there was a real moment early on where she and her husband were on the verge of selling up. The mortgage was significant, rates had gone up, rental income wasn't covering the stress - and managing it from Australia with the wrong agent had made everything harder than it needed to be.
Finding Base changed all of that. And 15 years on, Sophie says keeping that London family home has genuinely changed their retirement plans - in the best possible way.

From idea to exit in less than 10 years 💰 Rajeev Nayyar built Fixflo from a scrappy 2012 startup with plenty of early mistakes into a business acquired by Aareon in 2021 - and the early adopters who took a chance on him are still in his corner to this day. Not bad going.

Sophie's London home had incredible natural light, and that was one of its biggest selling points as a rental. But streaming sunlight through limescale-covered, water-stained windows would have killed that first impression instantly.
Presentation isn't just about the big stuff - a really thorough clean is just as important as any renovation or redecoration. It's one of those details that's easy to overlook but impossible for prospective tenants to ignore.
