From the start, the agent was very respectful, professional, and easy to deal with. We made an offer which was accepted, and we went ahead and paid the deposit and first month’s rent.
Unfortunately, our circumstances changed, and we found ourselves going back and forth a few times due to uncertainty. Throughout this entire process, Manor Estate Agent remained patient, understanding, and supportive, which we really appreciated given the stress we were under.
In the end, we had to withdraw completely, and they refunded our deposit and rent promptly without any issues. That level of honesty and professionalism is rareβ€”many others might have been rude or difficult in that situation.
Overall, they demonstrated great ethics and genuine understanding. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and professional estate agent.’

Following the rollout on 1st May, early signals show a market that is staying steady rather than shifting sharply. Rental growth remains stable and supply continues to improve across many areas πŸ“ˆ

In the run-up to the change, UK rents edged higher in March, marking the first monthly increase since late 2025. Annual rental growth is currently at 1.8%, with most regions still seeing higher rents than a year ago, except the East of England.

Encouragingly for tenants, the number of available rental homes is now 3% higher than last year and at its strongest level for this time of year since 2021 🏠

Demand has cooled slightly compared to last year, but it is still above pre-pandemic norms, keeping the market active and competitive in key locations.
