Buyer demand is showing signs of picking up as we move into the autumn property market.

After a quieter summer shaped by higher mortgage rates and wider uncertainty, home searches are now running 7% higher than this time last year, the strongest annual increase in 12 months.

For the first time since August 2025, buyer searches are also ahead of last year across every region and country of the UK. The South East is leading the way at +8.9%, followed closely by the East of England at +8.5%.
