Just finished our new landlord onboarding video for MyEstate Luton and would genuinely love some honest feedback.

The aim was to explain, in a clear and professional way, how we manage landlords’ properties — from compliance, inspections, tenant onboarding, and communication, through to protecting their investment and keeping everything transparent.

Today, I’m genuinely over the moon.

After sitting down with our inspection team, I’m proud to say we’ve now completed inspections across our entire managed portfolio. Every single property has been inspected, reviewed, photographed, and logged… and now we go straight back to the begining and start all over again!

This is exactly what landlords pay us for and, in my opinion, exactly how property management should be done.

People often ask me why I compare estate agency and property management to running a five-star hotel — and this is the reason why.

In a hotel, every room has to be inspected, cleaned, maintained, and ready for the next guest. Standards matter. Small details matter. Consistency matters.

For me, property management is no different.

Every flat, house, or block should be checked, maintained, and looked after properly — not just to protect a landlord’s investment, but to make sure tenants are living in safe, well-run homes too.

Coming from a five-star hospitality background, I’ve always believed the same principles apply: attention to detail, proactive service, accountability, and actually caring about the end result.

Landlords trust us to deal with the day-to-day so they can focus on their own lives, while we keep things moving behind the scenes — a bit like a good hotel front desk team making sure everything runs smoothly.

And here’s the fun part…

Hopefully soon, I’ll be putting together a behind-the-scenes video following our inspectors out on their rounds 😂 I honestly think people would be suprised at some of the things inspection teams walk into. From routine checks to maintenance surprises and the occasional “you genuinely couldn’t make this up” moment — there are definately stories to tell!

I’m also slightly nervous/excited to see how tenants react to a camera crew following us around 😅

Could be chaos. Could be brilliant. Probabaly a bit of both.

As a thank you for all their hard work, both of our inspectors will be getting a small gift from me for going above and beyond.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved — but the standard only gets higher from here.

With the introduction of the new Renters’ Rights legislation and the upcoming PRS Database registration requirements, many landlords are now facing increased compliance obligations and ongoing administrative responsibilities.

At MyEstate, we are introducing dedicated landlord compliance support services designed to help landlords remain fully compliant while reducing unnecessary stress, delays, and potential financial penalties.

Managed Landlords

For fully managed landlords, registration support may either be included within selected management packages or charged at a reduced administration fee of approximately:

At MyEstate Luton, we take training and compliance seriously. The entire team regularly attends courses and industry updates to make sure we stay current with new laws, regulations, and changes within the property sector.
Awaab’s Law is something that genuinely matters to us. The tragic passing of Awaab Ishak changed the industry forever and highlighted just how important it is for agents and landlords to act quickly and responsibly when concerns are raised.
