Little bit of up-cycling to make this wooden top. A lot of scraping/flattening and sanding brought the wood back to life and finished with 3 coats of boiled Linseed oil to bring out the grain.

The position of this door is completely open to elements and takes a battering of wind and rain and the original door was an Oak Veneered door which the British weather had de-laminated in a very short amount of time.

We replaced the original door with this one of one custom made “Solid” and Very Heavy 😂 oak door and frame.

Now finished with 3 coats of Finish it looks absolutely stunning. Just waiting on the capping strips to be delivered to cover the gaps around the frame where it meets the stone 🤙

Flat Roof repair completed yesterday. The roof had a considerable leak through cracks and broken asphalt, to which i fill the cracks and resurfaced with a polymer based surface paint which carries a guarantee of 10+years. The leak had completely saturated the ceiling below which had to be removed and left to dry for a good while to ensure that the leak had been fixed and also to prevent mould growth. Happy to report that the timber frame has completely dried out, the leak has stopped and I have reboarded and plastered it to complete the job 🤙
