🍂 Autumn is coming to Scotland… and look what we found! 🍄🚐

There’s something pretty special about exploring Scotland in autumn.

The forests start to change colour, the crowds thin out, the light gets softer… and you start noticing all sorts of little surprises along the way. 🍂🌲

We came across these on a recent walk and the first one stopped us in our tracks!
It was quite possibly the biggest field mushroom either of us has ever seen! 😂🍄

And there were two of them, right at the top of Hammy hill — you could actually spot them from quite a distance away!

Then, tucked away amongst the moss in the woods, we found this beautiful little fly agaric. ❤️

It's these unexpected little discoveries that make exploring Scotland so much fun.

And doing it by motorhome means you can spend the day out walking, exploring and finding places like this, before heading back to your cosy motorhome for a brew and putting your feet up. ☕️🚐

Autumn really is a fantastic time to explore Scotland.

We treated ourselves to the famous seafood platter... and at £120, it certainly isn't cheap—but with fresh oysters, langoustines, lobster, mussels, smoked salmon, crab and more, we'd happily say it was worth every penny.
