We do like to mix things up here on the farm

Pink Swaledale sheep at marking time and coloured dressed Swaledale sheep at draft sale time

If your about the next few days or around the beginning of October then you will see them about in the fields

The ewes will be having a few beauty treatments over the next day or so

Spray tan, a deep clean and a once over to make sure they are all s***k and span for sale day

It’s clear to see who’s going to auction and who’s staying 🤣🤣🤣

We’ve been very busy on the farm with our latest arrival

Fred and Roxy are now parents again

The biggest litter I’ve ever had the privilege to be part of💜💜

Unfortunately after the delivery of a very large hand full of puppies all contractions stopped due to a puppy getting stuck in the birthing canal

So it was a made dash to the vets

The decision was made to give her an injection to try to re start her contractions …….. if this didn’t work we would have to go on to c- section her to help the situation 😬

Thankfully this started to get things going again and she birthed a sleeping angle puppy 🥲
We popped the scanner on to check her over

And discovered there was another puppy inside unfortunately this puppy was also born a sleeping angel🥲

But out of sadness there was a miracle
Roxy had another 2 puppies after and both these have continued to do extremely well 💜

We have had to help one of the puppies along over the last few days with 2 hr feeds but it’s now becoming stronger and holding its own when getting on the t***s

We will continue to help out over the next few days but will feed less often so the puppy becomes fuller off mothers milk, as there is nowt as good

Well done Miss Roxy you are doing a magnificent job 💜💜
