Fantastic morning at the AEPG Great Eastern Run 2024. Incredible work and a massive thanks to Good Running Events Ltd for keeping everyone safe and organising a fantastic event for the city of Peterborough.

Some of our team ran this mornings Anna's Hope 5K and even hit some new PB’s. The crowds and support from Peterborough across the course was incredibly touching and really helped push on to the finishing line.

2 Weeks to go!

Celebrate the memory of a loved one at Starlight Hike this October while supporting Sue Ryder. Get together with family, friends or colleagues and walk either the 5k or 10k route under the stars to remember someone special and help raise vital funds. Together, we can ensure that everyone approaching the end of their lives or living with grief can access the support they need.

Starlight Hike Peterborough, sponsored by Cultura Place, takes place on Saturday, 5th October at 7.00pm in the tranquil setting of Ferry Meadows.

The route will meander through the country park, which will be beautifully lit as you enjoy this walk under the stars. You have the option of completing a 5k loop of the park, or going round again to complete a 10k walk.

With warm up entertainment from Clubbercise and live music on the route, you'll be joining together with hundreds of others to celebrate the lives of those we love and miss.

A fantastic end to the afternoon yesterday hosting and supporting the launch of the CPCA Buisness Growth and Social Impact Investment Fund.

We thank The FSE Group and Allia Future Business Centre Peterborough along with CPCA Growth Hub for choosing Cambridgeshire to launch this fund and for asking us to be a part of the event.

Upon reflection of the launch CEO Ashley Butterfield said “it’s been great to see city friends and network with new people. This investment project into local businesses is a huge part of the city’s growth and retaining talent is incredibly important for Peterborough and the surrounding areas. Supporting one another and sharing experiences is vital. What was different about this event was the passion and drive throughout and for some people the excitement a new chapter is about to begin”

Delighted to welcome Sam Carling the new MP for North West Cambridgeshire, to the AEPG office today. It was great to have the opportunity to share our vision of the future of the Showground with him, and hear his thoughts on what this will provide the future generations of Peterborough and the wider region.

A little bit of recent activity from the AEPG team.

Wednesday 17th July our Operations Manager headed down to the first training night of the AEPG Great Eastern Run hosted by Good Running Events Ltd. A fantastic free event open to all looking to get some training in preparation for the 13th October 2024 event or looking to meet new people and get active. Next session is being held on the 31st August at Orton leisure centre!

This week we supported Sue Ryder down at Ferry Meadows in the preparation for their Peterborough Starlight Hike on the 5th October 2024.

Our very own Lisa Anthony AATQB passed with a fantastic 83% on her final Level 3 exam. She is now excited to start Level 4. The team couldn’t be prouder of Lisa for her hard work and determination.

Finally this week we celebrated Dave Poulton and the Up The Garden Bath team on their 4 years anniversary. The work they do is incredibly important to the city and we couldn’t be happyier to support their vision. The Unity shop In Peterborough continues to have fantastic success showcasing their hard work is respected and needed within the city.

We are very much looking forward to attending the Peterborough Celebrates festival this weekend. The AEPG team have a stand neighbouring loads of incredible other organisations and will be enjoying multiple mini games and discussing the future of the East of England Showground development.
