Another little decking job again this week..
Removal of old rotten unsafe elevated decking the rear access of the property into the garden.

We Supplied and installed full new deck slightly smaller area but with a full width open tread stair string as customer requested..
And this time with all legs and framework correctly installed and postcreted in.
150mm x 50mm frame work.. 150mm x 42mm decking and Richard burbridge balustrade..(as solid as i gets we dont take any short cuts on stength and quality)

Well this ones been abit more than we thought...🤦‍♂️

Originally went out to look and price the job as a deck refurb..
(which i did say a while ago i wouldnt do again)🤦‍♂️

Which now concludes what ive always said if the deck boards are going everything else is on borrowed time..
On initial inspection from underneath the frame looked ok..

BUT long story short when we started removing decking and facias uncovered alot of rot from the inside out..(Dry Rot)

Site meeting were needed end of day one and luckily being great customers agreed to a full rip out of everything inc framework..
Which has obviously cost abit more in labour and materials but not in the long run..

Now they can be sure and feel safe especially on an Elevated deck like this..
Just waiting for new balustrade from (Richard Burbridge) newel caps etc to come in next week..
(will add final pics once fully completed)

Moral of the story is ppl...never just try salvage or refurb decking over 10 year old..😉👍

Enjoyed installing this one for a pal of mine...
Full rip out of old original 90s kitchen..

We Supplied and intalled a full new howdens kitchen in Bridgemere Pebble with solid stone Aspen crystal worksurfaces inc stone window window cills..👌
Including electrics and plumbing/gas works now all ready for the tiler and decorater next week.

(Will post finished product hopefully next week im sure it will look totally different again)

Latest kitchen install to the new open plan bungalow extension that weve nearly completed..🏡❤️
What a priviledge its been to be part of this project on beutiful property inside and out..👌

Kitchen supplied by howdens in Halesworth Navy Blue with Polaris Marble stone work surfaces...
Another one similar to start in 3 weeks time but with a different layout will keep you posted..
