We’re incredibly proud of our Managing Director, Nigel Wood, who made it to the final four in the BBC Make a Difference Awards (BBC York) in the Volunteering category, recognising his tireless work organising the Toy Appeal. ❤️

While Nigel didn’t take home the award, being named as one of the final four is a fantastic achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of him!

Speaking about the nomination, Nigel said:

“I’m honoured to have been nominated for this award and it’s a real privilege to be included in this category. For me, the biggest takeaway is that if being nominated helps bring the Toy Appeal to more people, allows us to provide more toys for more children this Christmas, and encourages more businesses to get involved, then that’s a win for me.”

And that’s exactly what the Toy Appeal is all about. 🎁
