If you own a rental property, this is your reminder:
The Renters’ Rights Act comes into force on 1 May 2026.
Key deadline:
🗓 30 April 2026 – Last day to serve a Section 21 notice.
After this, possession rules change significantly and compliance obligations increase.

EPC update 🚨

The UK Government has confirmed it will delay the new EPC deadline to 2030 — a move we’ve consistently called for.

After sustained campaigning from Propertymark, will also see the proposed investment cap reduced to £10,000, down from £15,000.

The UK Government has also issued a partial response to its reform consultation, including plans for new domestic EPC metrics and updated requirements on when EPCs apply.

We’re reviewing the details now and will share a full update shortly.

We have had great fun making our Woodland Christmas scene in our office window. It’s part of the ‘Christmas Window Competition’ organised by Susie of Rocket and Bird Gift Shop in Taunton’s Independent Quarter to raise money for Compass Wellbeing.

We have loved seeing and hearing the delighted children and adults admiring our animals - even the rat! My favourite is the fox, what’s yours?
