Reasons to come to Cove Valley this Autumn 🍂

The season where the valley gets a little wilder, a little moodier and a lot more cosy.

Think…

🔥 fires lit before dark
🛁 hot outdoor baths in cold air
🍁 the woods doing their annual colour show
🦌 Storm strutting around like he owns the place as the red deer rut begins
🌙 darker evenings, bigger skies and proper stargazing
🛋 soft, warm cabins made for doing very little indeed
🌧 and the occasional Devon storm rolling through while you’re tucked up inside wondering why you ever go anywhere else

September at Cove Valley…. 🌿🍂

It’s not quite summer
It’s not quite autumn

But a sweet spot somewhere in between

☀️ The days can still be warm enough for lunch outside, bare feet on the deck and convincing yourself it’s definitely still summer.

But then evening comes a little earlier.

🌌 The skies get darker. The stars get brighter. ✨
And suddenly sitting outside in a hot bath, surrounded by cool night air, feels like an extremely sensible way to spend an evening.

Out in the valley, everything is beginning to shift too.

🦌 The deer are gearing up for rutting season.
🦫 There are still evenings to catch a glimpse of the beavers before winter.
🕊️ Our young storks are preparing for their first migration.
🌿 And across the land, everything is just beginning to slow down.

The perfect time to get away.

Turns out the cure for adulting is remarkably simple. 🦋

Go somewhere nobody can find you.

🔥 Cook nice food.
🛀 Run a bath outside.
🍷 Pour something nice.
😊 Ignore your phone.
🌳 Stare at trees for an unreasonable amount of time.

Repeat until you feel normal again. 🌿

Turns out the best way to deal with a storm is to simply hide out in a cabin in the woods ⛈️

Fire lit. Kettle on. Bath warming. Absolutely nowhere we need to be. 🔥
