We are pleased to share an important corporate update.

Following the approval obtained from shareholders at the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 13 February 2026, the Companies Commission of Malaysia has officially issued the Notice of Registration of New Name.

Accordingly, with effect from 26 February 2026, the Company’s name has been formally changed from "Berjaya Land Berhad" to "Berjaya Property Berhad".

This change reflects the Group’s strategic direction and continued focus in strengthening its position within the property sector while maintaining the strong legacy and foundation built over the years.

We thank our valued stakeholders, business partners, and associates for their continued support as we embark on this next chapter under our new corporate identity.

On Friday 13th February 2026, a very productive and positive Extraordinary General Meeting was held attended by our valued shareholders and chaired by Dato’ Sri Robin Tan, Deputy Chairman of Berjaya Land Berhad, together with members of the Board of Directors.

Shareholders formally approved the proposed change of name from Berjaya Land Berhad to Berjaya Property Berhad, marking an important milestone in the Group’s strategic evolution.

The session was interactive and engaging, with an open and amicable Q&A. Group CEO Syed Ali Shahul Hameed emphasised that the new name better reflects the Group’s property-led focus and long-term asset-backed strategy. He provided assurance that Management remains firmly committed to disciplined ex*****on, sustainable growth and delivering resilient value to shareholders.

We thank our shareholders for their strong support and constructive feedback. The meeting concluded on a warm and positive note, with door gifts and lunch provided a meaningful gathering as we move forward together into this new chapter as Berjaya Property Berhad.

Berjaya Land Berhad is honoured to share that the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, met with our Founder and Chairman, Tan Sri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun, during his visit to Kuala Lumpur.

The meeting reflects the strengthening relationship between Malaysia and India, as well as the growing opportunities for collaboration across investment, tourism, and hospitality.

Tan Sri Vincent Tan expressed his admiration for Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and India’s remarkable economic progress."From all that I have observed, Prime Minister Modi has done an outstanding job. India today stands stronger, more economically dynamic, and increasingly influential globally. I am very impressed with his leadership.”

Although brief, the discussion was warm and meaningful, underscoring shared aspirations for growth and development.

Berjaya Land continues to look at strategic global expansion opportunities, particularly in the premium hospitality segment. Inspired by world-class benchmarks such as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and drawing from our international development aspirations in destinations such as Japan and Iceland, we are exploring the potential of bringing similar luxury resort concepts to India including locations such as New Delhi and Goa.

India’s strong economic trajectory, vibrant tourism sector, and forward-looking policies present compelling prospects for long-term investment. We look forward to deepening engagement and exploring meaningful opportunities that align with our vision of creating world-class lifestyle destinations.
