*CAN YOU BE CORRECTED?*
This is a very honest question. Can you actually be corrected?
Not PRAISED, not CELEBRATED, but CORRECTED?
We have people who CATCH feelings when CORRECTED.
An example;
~ Somebody sings off-key in church. You correct them gently. Suddenly they say, “Maybe this is not my season for ministry.”
~ Someone drives poorly. You advise them. They say, “Leave me, God is my protector.”
~ Someone’s business is struggling because of poor planning. You suggest strategy. They say, “You don’t understand my business.
CORRECTION exposes CHARACTER.
The Bible is very clear in Proverbs 12:1
"Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid".
SIGNS you struggle with correction:
~ You defend yourself before listening.
~ You only like feedback wrapped in compliments.
~ You think every rebuke is jealousy.
~ You say, “That’s just how I am”, the national anthem of the UNTEACHABLE.
But wise people?
They pause.
They listen.
They reflect.
They adjust.
Being CORRECTABLE doesn’t make you WEAK, it makes you UNSTOPPABLE.
Remember: CORRECTION is the ladder to greatness, PRIDE is the shortcut to downfall.
