Six months ago I launched Property Besties Coaching with one goal. To make property investing feel possible for busy, professional women who don’t have the time to do it all themselves.

I had no idea if it would work. No idea if women would trust me with one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.

They did. And now they’re coming back for the next one.

Not because they bought a property. Because they became women who believe they can do it again.
That’s the part that matters.

One year ago today, I quit my corporate job.

This morning I went back to my diary, to the entry I wrote that day.

I want to share it with you, exactly as I wrote it.

“The morning of quitting
Today is the last day of the month, and tomorrow a new month begins
And despite this being something that happens every month, today carries a special feeling
As I sit in my car, parked at the marina bay
Overlooking the boats as I write this
It marks an end, with a new beginning
One that has been long awaited
One I have written about for years
And the courage was not there, despite the desire
Now I understand. The desire was right
But the time was not right, just yet”

A year on, I read that back and I feel something different than I expected.
Not pride, exactly. More like recognition.

I didn’t have certainty, or a clear twelve months mapped out.

What I had was a feeling I’d carried for years, finally meeting a moment I was ready for.

That’s the part nobody tells you about leaving something safe.

The desire can be right for a long time before the timing catches up to it.

If you’re sitting in your own version of that car park right now, waiting for the time to feel right, I see you.

It will. And when it does, you’ll know.
