πΏ Faces of Meadowbank β Feature #4 πΏ
Ray Pharmacy Meadowbank
Some businesses do more than provide a service - they become part of the fabric of our community. π
Meet Rachael, the owner of Ray Pharmacy Meadowbank.
Originally from Nigeria and having also lived in Leicester, England, Rachael and her family moved to New Zealand 20 years ago. While settling into an apartment in Auckland CBD, they happened to come across a listing on for a house in Meadowbank. They werenβt even looking in the area - but one visit was all it took. They knew theyβd found home.
Rachael has been part of Ray Pharmacy since it first opened in 2010, managing the pharmacy from day one before achieving her lifelong dream of becoming the owner in 2014.
Her passion for pharmacy began at just 10 years old, and today, itβs still driven by the same purpose - to care for people and make a positive difference in their lives.
When asked what she loves most about Meadowbank, her answer says it all:
βThe smiles on peopleβs faces, their kindness, and the genuine care they show. The simple βthank yousβ and people asking how Iβm doing mean the world to me. I feel truly blessed to serve this wonderful community.β
Family is at the heart of everything Rachael does. She is a proud mum to three daughters - Promise, Omolola and Anne - who all grew up in Meadowbank and around the pharmacy. Together, they share a love of creativity, from sewing and art to writing, filmmaking, dancing and crafts.
Whether youβre picking up a prescription, getting vaccinated, seeking health advice, or browsing their range of African hair and beauty products, youβll always be welcomed with genuine care and a friendly smile.
Thank you, Rachael, for the kindness, compassion and dedication you bring to Meadowbank every day. People like you are what make our community so special. π
