We want to let you know that from 1 July 2026, our water and wastewater service prices will increase by 7.2%. For households with an average water bill of $100 per month, this will mean paying approximately $7.20 more per month.

This change supports continued investment in Auckland’s water and wastewater services, including renewing ageing assets, providing capacity for growth, improving resilience and supporting better environmental outcomes.

Water and wastewater services are essential to public health, daily life, business activity, housing, development and the environment. Auckland’s network needs sustained investment so we can continue to provide safe, reliable and resilient services for our customers and communities.

This price change aligns with the requirements of the Watercare Charter, which sets the framework for pricing, revenue, service quality, transparency and reporting.
