Rodent Inspection Findings:
Inspection identified significant rat activity in this area. Rats have chewed a sizeable access hole through the wall and caused considerable contamination and damage around the entry point. A large amount of debris, nesting material and rodent droppings is present, indicating this area has been actively used by rodents.

There are also clear rub/grease marks around the entry and exit point. These dark marks are commonly created when rats repeatedly travel through the same opening, with oils, dirt and grease from their fur transferring onto the surrounding surface. The extent of the marking suggests this has been a well-used and established rodent pathway, rather than an isolated visit.

We recommend a thorough rodent treatment to control the current population, followed by cleaning and sanitising the contaminated area. Once rodent activity has been brought under control, the access hole should be professionally sealed using rodent-resistant materials to help prevent future entry.

🐝 Our First Bee Swarm Collection of the Season!

The warmer weather has arrived, and so have the bees! This is our first bee swarm collection of the season.

Pictured is our beekeeper carefully working to collect the swarm. He is positioning himself close to where the bees have gathered and working to safely capture them, including the queen. Once the queen is secured, the rest of the colony will naturally follow and settle with her.

Rather than exterminating a healthy bee swarm, our goal wherever practical is to safely collect and rehome the colony, giving these important pollinators a new home.

🐭 ROUTINE MONITORING SHOWS WHY FOLLOW-UPS MATTER

During a routine follow-up inspection and treatment of this customer’s home, our technician found clear evidence of significant mouse activity within the bait station.

The bait has been heavily consumed and disturbed, showing that mice have been actively feeding between service visits. This is exactly why regular monitoring and servicing of rodent stations is so important — activity can continue even when the homeowner may not be seeing or hearing mice.

The station was inspected, cleaned and replenished with fresh bait to maintain effective control and continue reducing the rodent population.

Borer Inspection & Removal

It’s not the usual type of work we undertake, but today we completed a borer inspection and wood removal job.

The wood was found to be heavily riddled with borer, so we removed the affected wood from the property. The borer-riddled timber was loaded onto our trailer and transported to the tip for disposal.

Exterminating a German wasp nest in July isn’t something we see very often—but here we are on 8 July safely removing an active nest!
