📊 REINZ has released the April 2026 data.

Canterbury’s median house price rose 2.1% year-on-year to $710,000, with a median 40 days to sell.

REINZ Chief Executive, Lizzy Rylee, notes that all buyer groups remained active across the region in April, with vendors largely aligned to market expectations and strong attendance at well-priced homes.

Market sentiment was mixed, however salespeople expect activity to remain steady through winter, supported by strong employment, student demand, and tourism momentum.
