2 days to go…

We will be attending the New Zealand Cold Storage Association Conference, held at Te Pae Convention Centre here in Christchurch next week. We are looking forward to connecting with industry leaders and peers from across the cold chain and showcasing our offering to the industry.

Temperature controlled facilities require a higher level of construction understanding than a standard warehouse. From insulated panels and thermal breaks to slab design, moisture control and sequencing, the details matter. Our team understands the hidden risks that can affect performance over the life of the building.

If you are planning a cool or cold storage build, come find us at Stand 8&9. Ryley Drake, Matt Jackson and Caleb Everest will be there and would love to chat.

NZ Post's new Hawke's Bay facility is officially open.

Last week, Hastings Mayor Wendy Schollum officially opened the new facility, welcoming the NZ Post team into their new home with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. It was also special to have Lum Tahuri return to bless the completed building after leading the site blessing at the start of construction.

Bringing NZ Post's Napier and Hastings operations together under one roof, the new facility is built to support the region now and into the future.

We are grateful to our client for the confidence they placed in our team from the very beginning. That trust laid the foundation for a strong working relationship and a great outcome for both our client and NZ Post.

Keep an eye out for Tuatara TV, where we will take you behind the scenes of the project.

Today marks Matariki, the start of the Māori New Year. It’s a time to reflect on the past year, celebrate the present, and plan for the year ahead.

This public holiday provides an opportunity for communities to come together and to celebrate te ao Māori (the Māori World). We hope everyone spends this day connecting with whanau and friends, being thankful, and looking expectantly to the days ahead.

Happy Matariki to all. The team at Tuatara Structures will be back in the office bright and early on Monday.

Tuatara TV is back!

What a great morning to be out on site at Sir Gil Simpson Drive, catching up with the team over a morning breakfast shout. It was awesome to be joined by Richard Fisher, the team from Monkeytoe Group, HMC construction Ltd, and our subcontractors to celebrate the progress on the build and see it taking shape.

To date, the project is progressing on time and to budget, and we look forward to getting this one wrapped up over the next few months. The development delivers 1,800m² of two storey, high spec office space for Monkeytoe and our team to grow into. It's always good to bring everyone involved in the project together on site, celebrating the build coming out of the ground.

Check it out on Tuatara TV below!

This we are taking you back to Road Metals’ flagship head office and workshop facility in Oamaru.

After more than 60 years in operation, Road Metals Co Ltd had built a strong reputation as one of New Zealand’s leading producers of aggregates. When it came time for a new HQ, they wanted more than a practical building. They wanted a facility that reflected their history, their values, their people, and the future of the business.

We partnered with Road Metals from feasibility through to completion. The solution needed to bring several parts of the operation together in one place, including admin spaces, workshop functionality, crane requirements, specialist pits, mechanical services, and even a museum to honour the company’s story.

The result is a high quality, multi storey HQ and workshop facility that supports Road Metals’ day to day operation and future growth. We are grateful to have been entrusted with this project and proud to have played a part in bringing it to life.
