Celebrated my birthday this weekend and feeling very grateful. 🍸🤍
This past year has been a big one; starting a completely new career, becoming a working mum to a toddler, and figuring out how to juggle all the moving parts that come with both.
And maybe I am lucky.
But I’ve also come to realise that a lot of the things we call “luck” are actually the result of showing up, putting in the effort, caring deeply and consciously building the life and relationships you want.
One of the things I’m most grateful for is the incredible group of female friends I’ve built here in Nelson. These women have shown up for me over the past year, through the hard days, the exciting days and everything in between, and I’ve tried to do the same for them.
I’m really proud of the relationships I’ve created and the community I’ve built around me. They didn’t just happen; they came from making an effort, being there, and wanting the best for the people around me.
So yes, I’m grateful for the opportunities, the career that fulfils me and excites me, the people in my life… and maybe a I am just little bit lucky too. 🤍
And a special thank you to Arden for the excellent hospitality, as always, and for being my favourite place on earth to drink a gin martini.
