This is crazy - come on Western Bay of Plenty District Council - you put them up in July 2025 from $3.95 to $4.80.
Are we to expect a rubbish tag price increase every year?

Price increases
From 1 July, there will be an increase to the cost of pay-as-you-throw (PAYT) rubbish tags and loose greenwaste. The PAYT tags will cost $5.20 each (RRP) and loose greenwaste drop-offs at our recycling and greenwaste centres will cost $45 per cubic metre. This is due to rising costs to deliver these services.
