WE HAVE WALLS!!

It’s starting to feel like our home 🥹

We’ve been at stalker stage for pretty much this entire build 😂 but it feels even more stalker now that we’re locked up and have to stare through the windows just to see what’s happening inside 😂

Our lower-level brick cladding is actually COMPLETE 🙌 But we’re gutted that between sickness and the weather, we kept missing the guys in action. Would’ve loved to see this part come together!

Our Pink Batts have also been installed, and I learnt something that probably everyone else already knew 🤣 insulation is only installed in the exterior walls, not every internal wall 🤯 I just assumed new builds got insulation throughout every wall!

We’ve also paid extra for soundproofing insulation in the walls of our bathrooms because they back onto bedrooms. I’ve experienced what it’s like having your bedroom next to the family bathroom and hearing EVERYTHING 😂 so for an extra $600, this felt like a no-brainer.

Once the insulation is in, the Gib/wall linings go up and our house is about to transform AGAIN 🤯🤯🤯

It’s crazy how quickly this is all happening. A part of me is gutted that we’re coming towards the end of the build…but obviously the other part of me is VERY excited that we’re getting closer and closer to moving in 🥰

Pre-wire walk-through: the chance to check your electrical selections…but also add to them 😅💸

Definitely another one of those build phases people don’t talk about enough.

We could’ve gone standard and saved ourselves the headache…but there’s something about putting your own personal touch on it 🙌

As for the budget? It was cute while it lasted 🫣💸
