Porirua, have your say on the future of water services 💧

From 1 July, Tiaki Wai has been responsible for delivering safe drinking water to homes and businesses, removing wastewater, treating it and discharging it to sea, and for some pipes and other infrastructure that helps move stormwater away from populated areas to streams, rivers and coastlines.

The water infrastructure that Tiaki Wai owns and manages on behalf of our region is in very poor condition, with significant upgrades, repairs and expansion required.
Our region is growing, and there is a lot of work to do to ensure our water services meet the needs of our communities.

This work will be costly and will take time. The cost of investment needs to be spread over time, while prioritising the work that matters most.

Tiaki Wai wants to hear from our communities about what you think should come first. Your feedback will help shape its draft Water Services Strategy and the work programme for the years ahead.
