🎉Happy birthday Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Bay of Plenty - five years looks good on you! Ōhope Beach sure looks great from up here! A great combo of bush and coastal track, Ngā Tapuwae o Toi is an 18km loop track that can be walked in shorter sections. Enjoy this view with a 15 minute walk down from Ōtarawairere Village to the beach, turn right and follow the coastline until you see the track sign and stairs. A stairway to heaven? Maybe! Take your time and enjoy the views from two lookouts.

The West End access is currently closed, so head back the way you came. Ōhope is just 5 minutes' drive, so we usually pop into one of the cafés for a coffee before heading back over the hill.
