Well, this wasn’t quite how I planned my week… 🤦♀️
Sunday evening I managed to get bucked off a freshly broken-in horse and spent the night in spinal care with a burst fracture of my L1 vertebrae and awaiting MRI results. Not exactly the Sunday evening I had in mind!
Despite that, it’s been business as usual – with a contract signed Sunday night while in hospital, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday viewings, and a building inspection on Friday. Real estate really never stops! 🏡
Viewings aside, I’ve been taking things much easier and getting plenty of rest. I’m very grateful to a wonderful colleague who jumped on board to co-list a new listing and help keep things moving. Teamwork really does make all the difference. 💚
And of course, very lucky to have my partner, who has been picking up the slack around home while I have my feet up. 🙏
I’m incredibly lucky that the doctors found no nerve or ligament damage. Otherwise things could have looked very different! But I’m up and about, and it should be a straight forward recovery. 🤞
The timing couldn’t be worse, with a couple of renovation projects only a week or so away from being finished and an upcoming trip to rural Western Australia.
The hardest part for me? Six weeks of trying to sit still and behave myself while the fractures heal! 😂
