Freezing temps are coming. Protect your home by covering outdoor spigots, have water at a slow drip at inside faucets, lower your thermostat to avoid it working overtime (68 or below) and only run appliances in the afternoon. Bundle up everyone!

First hard freeze of the season is on the way early next week. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 15°F in some areas are expected Monday and Tuesday mornings.🥶

Your home heating system will be working overtime to keep you warm in these freezing temps.

Set your thermostat to 68 degrees or a temperature that is both safe & comfortable. Here are some cold weather tips to help you stay warm, conserve energy, & save 💰:

* Close curtains or use window coverings to hold heat in & keep cold out.
* Roll towels & line the base of exterior doors to help insulate your home.
* Limit the use of larger appliances such as washers, dryers, & dishwashers. If you must run them, do it in the afternoon.
