Study, Believe, Live!
There is great value in being a studentโsomeone who is committed to learning, growing, and gaining a deeper understanding of a subject or matter. In today's world, information is more accessible than ever before. With a few clicks, we can learn about countless topics. The opportunities to expand our knowledge are endless, and there is certainly wisdom in becoming knowledgeable and skilled in the areas we are called to serve.
This week, as I found myself studying and learning a variety of things, I was reminded of something far more important than any earthly knowledge: the importance of studying the Word of God.
The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
While knowledge may help us navigate life, it is God's Word that teaches us how to live it. It provides wisdom, direction, correction, encouragement, and truth. We spend time learning how to build careers, businesses, relationships, and wealth, but how much time are we investing in learning the heart, character, and will of God?
Reading the Bible daily is a wonderful discipline, but studying God's Word takes us deeper. It requires us to seek understanding, ask questions, meditate on Scripture, and apply His truth to our lives. When we truly know what the Lord has said, we are better equipped to walk by faith, make godly decisions, withstand challenges, and pursue His purpose for our lives.
So today, while you pursue knowledge in your profession, your business, or your personal goals, don't forget to invest in the study that matters most. The wisdom of this world may help you succeed temporarily, but the wisdom of God will guide you for eternity.
๐ Study the Word.
๐ Seek His truth.
โจ Grow in understanding.
๐ฑ Walk in faith.
