There's never a dull moment in real estate. I received a very weird phone call from a fellow who said he was a cartoonist and he needed to reach my seller for the listing at 425 West Ave in Elyria because he needed a picture of the vestibule. Bizarre I know. He said his name was Tom Batiuk but it didn't mean much...until he said "Funky Winkerbean". Well, it turns out he was the real deal! 🙂 He once lived in the home at 425 West Ave Elyria and it is there that he created the comic strip!
He was able to get the pictures he needed from the online listing. When I got home that evening, I received a text from Tom thanking me for my help and that he thought I might enjoy 2 pics. I most certainly did! I asked him if I could share these on my page and he graciously said "Sure no problem". I researched that comic strip...it ran 50 years from 1972 to December 31, 2022. I am honored to have spoken to him! I mean it is not every day that you speak to a famous cartoonist!!
