This was a quick one...

The hunter felt really confident in the shot, but since he was hunting a small property and did not get to see the deer tip over, he called us out to confirm if he was dead or not to make sure he didn't bump him.

We always enjoy being there for people and helping them make memories that they get to cherish for a lifetime.

Thank you for trusting in Rugged Altitude

Is this the most sophisticated shot placement tool you have seen?

We are always trying to go the extra mile to make sure hunters have all of the tools they need at their finger tips.

If anyone is wondering how close it is getting....

Well I went on a recovery last night and saw two bucks that where tight to doe's.

Hope everyone is ready for Friday afternoon and Saturday morning should be 🔥

We have added a movement chart in https://buckpattern.ai/ that we trained using our recovery data. If you pair this data with the thermals and when the shadows will show up in a location, you can better predict when you should be in that spot before the deer beat you to it.

Youth Hunter's,

We hope that your aim is straight and true as you hit the woods this weekend, but more important than the opportunities that may present itself, is that you take the moment to enjoy God's creation and cherish the moments.

God bless and best of luck!

We get asked about “no man’s land” all the time.

The shot was a touch high. We located him alive the first night, then returned the following night and found him out in the field eating.

This deer also appears to be dealing with an illness. What do you think has him looking like this?

One more look made all the difference

Thick cover made this buck a tough one to spot. After a long search, we stopped, reviewed where we’d been, and went back for another look. There he was, tucked in near the hunter's tree stand!

The hunter had history with this buck, and we’re glad we could help get him locate him and get him out of the woods.

Wait for the photo at the end—check out those brow tines!

Every deer deserves the effort.

Saturated ground and a spotty blood trail made this doe tough to track. We got the drone up, located her tucked into a thick canopy, and confirmed she was down.

Watch closely—that thick clanopy doesn’t give up much!

Helping a hunter turn a difficult search into a successful recovery is what makes these calls so rewarding. Thanks for trusting Rugged Altitude!

“We would have never found that.”

Hearing those words makes the late nights worth it!

Thick canopy made this search a challenge, but patience paid off. We located the buck down in the valley and got the family the coordinates they needed to finish the recovery. It was pushing midnight, but check out that buck at the end!

Congratulations to the young hunter on a heck of a deer, and thanks for trusting Rugged Altitude!

It is always fun and exciting helping people find their deer. Even more so when it is a youth hunter.

As like all new hunters, there are things you can't teach or prepare for, such as the blackout phase of the adrenaline rush.

After releasing the arrow, the youth hunter didn't continue to watch for the deer, but thought he heard something crash. Unfortunately, it was raining out and the blood was lost. After a very short flight we where able to find and confirm that the buck had expired.

Huge congrats to the youth hunter for getting the first one under the belt!
