Food for thought this dreary morning for those looking to choose a realtor or potentially represent yourself. Itās a bit long, but i think worth a read!
Theres a reason i pride myself in communication, it matters!!! When i say Iāll work hard for you, i mean it!
I get it, you think āit doesnāt seem so hard, and thatās a big chunk of money Iām paying in commission, Iāll represent myself or maybe choose an agent solely on commission rateā
Hereās the issue, you have no idea what gets done behind the scenes, and if you think you know? That means youāve probably seen about 1/2 of what really happened.
You see, when a transaction goes smoothly, thatās great, it means everyone did there job appropriately, everyone was polite, everyone stuck to the contract, no one disagreed, everyone was happy, and by everyone I mean both clients, both agents, the lender and the title company.
But what happens when someone doesnāt do their job? What happens when you get a lender thatās inexperienced or an agent on the opposite side that doesnāt answer the phone? Maybe the buyer/seller on the other side is difficult , Will you know what to do?
Will you know when paper work wasnāt turned in, or you maybe were never asked for it?
The point is things go wrong in real estate transactions all the time, donāt let the fact that you may not be aware of it fool you into thinking it was āeasyā. And if you were aware of the fact that it wasnāt easy but you still got to the closing table? Well, that probably would have had a different ending if you were on your own or with the wrong realtor. So next time commission makes you consider being on your own or going with a realtor solely based on % remember , No closing=no money. I take my job very seriously and i promise Iāll work hard for you. Just some things to think about!
If you read this long, thanks! And letās chat!
