"Baseball fans, this year’s Sword & Shield Gala features a true Auburn favorite! Scott Sullivan, former Tiger walk‑on who went on to enjoy a long and successful career as a Major League pitcher, will be our speaker.
Scott built a reputation in the big leagues for his toughness, consistency, and team‑first mentality, becoming a reliable presence on the mound throughout his many seasons in professional baseball.
But Scott’s greatest impact has come after the game. He returned to Auburn to mentor young athletes and, together with his wife Leann, has devoted his life to faith, service, and strengthening families and communities. In 2024, he was honored with induction into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame, recognizing both his achievements and his character.
