7 years ago, we started this adventure into parenthood with our Charlotte Bug.

Three babies later, countless memories, a little more chaos, and a whole lot more love, I can’t imagine doing life with anyone else.

It’s funny how a change of scenery can change your perspective.

Standing in front of mountains that have been here long before me and will be here long after me has a way of making everything feel a little smaller. The worries. The deadlines. The things that felt so urgent before I left. And yet, for all the beauty out here, this trip reminded me of something I didn’t expect.

Home isn’t a place I’ve been trying to escape. It’s something I’ve spent years building.

The people waiting for me there.
The routines I’ll eventually complain about again.
The ordinary moments that somehow become the ones you miss most.

The mountains gave me perspective.
Texas still has my heart.

I used to think luxury looked like bigger.

Bigger houses.
Bigger vacations.
Bigger accomplishments.
More stuff.

But somewhere along the way, my definition changed.

Now luxury looks like drinking coffee without rushing.
Having dinner with my family without checking my phone.
A quiet morning.
A full night’s sleep.
A mind that isn’t constantly racing to the next thing.

Maybe that’s why so many people make major life changes. Not because they want more.

Because they’re finally realizing what matters.
