Everyone wants to move to Austin but our systems make it so tough. I make living in Austin easy by providing housing on a month to month lease with just a handshake. "Their way" You want to move to Austin? Ok, drive around with a boring real estate agent in a suit. They will show you a bunch of crappy places and convince you they are great. Then they will say "all you have to do is: pay an applica
tion fee, prove you have a job in Austin, prove you make 3 times the rent, you'll need a good credit score with several references, you'll need to sign a 1-2 year lease, get all the services turned on and in your name (with even more deposits) and then you'll need to funish your new home. Good luck making new friends and plugging into the city. My way: You call me and say you need a room in a shared house or you want a full house for you and some buddies. I ask how long do you want to stay and you say "who knows." I say thats fine, Let's go play disc golf or go dirtbiking and we can chat about it if we have some downtime. I dont ask about your job. I dont care how much you make. There are no fees and no leases. My houses come fully funished. I give you a ride in my scooter with sidecar to check out a few places and we go for a bike ride just because. You come swimming with my friends and hangout for our BBQ later. Then we get back to talking about the house situation and one day you just move in. You pay a small deposit to claim the spot, then first months rent when you move in. When you want to move out you just put in your notice on the 1st of the month and move out before the end of the month and we're all good. Now you live in Austin. You have 30 great friends. You hangout and go on fun adventures with our friend group all the time. I'll teach you to dirtbike and collect rent over a game of ping pong at your house. LIfe is good. Enjoy Austin.
