Rosewood Housing Co-op is excited to announce our second annual “Smash by Smash West*” show!

Come out for a night of live music, drag performances, and yummy taco plates!!
Cover will be $5, doors open at 7pm and bands will start playing at 8pm!!

•As fall season arrives, we are excited to announce that we are accepting new members to join our community here at Rosewood. Currently, we have a total of 3 rooms available immediately. We encourage q***r people & BIPOC to apply!

If you are interested in applying, we invite you to attend a community meeting and dinner to learn more about our values and way of living at the co-op.
•About Rosewood and our Application Cycle:

We are a non-hierarchical, participatory democracy. Currently, each resident is expected to contribute labor every week (cleaning, committee tasks/meetings, miscellaneous co-op deeds) and attend weekly house meetings. This keeps our home tidy, running smoothly, and in good repair. Rosewood strives to create a space where people with varying life experiences and backgrounds can share, learn, and grow together in community.
Our members are committed to confronting systems of oppression through mutual aid efforts, reading groups, and continually questioning/working to change how our own house systems reproduce inequity.

The available rooms range from 117-200 sq ft in size and about $1010-1250 in price. Move-in possible immediately. Email for more details! We are seeking long-term residents to sign a 12-month initial lease with the option to renew. But we can be flexible depending on your needs!

Members’ room rent amounts include utilities, internet, pantry staples and co-op wide funds as well as communally cooked vegetarian meals twice a week. While we do not spend house money on meat, members are welcome to cook meat in our kitchens.

Rosewood Co-op has two upcoming openings at Berm House, our home on 17th Street in Central East Austin! Come live with 9 housemates, experience the power of community support and cooperation, and learn new skills while participating in our communal labor system!

We are a non-hierarchical, participatory democracy. Currently, each resident is expected to contribute approximately 3 hours of labor per week (cleaning, committee tasks/meetings, miscellaneous co-op deeds) and attend weekly house meetings. The available rooms are 200 and 117 sq ft respectively. One is on the first floor and is the largest room at this house, and the other is on the second floor and is one of the smallest. Cute!
Being a member of Rosewood Co-op includes access to all communal spaces at this house and at the larger San Bernard St. house a few blocks away!

Monthly rent for the larger room is $1166.30, and $942.30 for the smaller. In August, these amounts are expected to increase by about 3-5% due to a rent increase from our landlord. Members’ room rent amounts include utilities, internet, pantry staples and co-op wide funds as well as communally cooked vegetarian meals twice a week. While we do not spend house money on meat, members are welcome to cook meat in our kitchens.

Rosewood Co-op has an upcoming opening at Berm House, our home on 17th Street in Central East Austin, starting Feb. 1st 2024! Come live with 12 housemates, experience the power of community support and cooperation, and learn new skills while participating in our communal labor system!

We are a non-hierarchical, participatory democracy. Currently, each resident is expected to contribute approximately 3 hours of labor per week (cleaning, committee tasks/meetings, misc. co-op deeds) and attend weekly house meetings. This keeps our home tidy, running smoothly, and in good repair.
