JUST SOLD | This home has always had a pretty great story. Originally built by former Dallas Cowboy Nate Newton, it has been loved and cared for by my sellers for the past 21 years. Two decades of memories were made on these 6.5 acres, so saying goodbye to a property this unique was understandably bittersweet.

But I think they can feel really good about who came along to carry the torch. ❤️

I met the buyers at an open house I was hosting here. They were visiting from Chicago to celebrate their son’s birthday and weren’t even really in the market for a home. They decided to stop by on a whim…and fell in love.

Suddenly they could see a whole new vision for their family - moving to Texas, being closer to their son, and having a property with enough space for more of their family to come together and visit. What started as a random stop at an open house turned into, “What if we actually did this?”

And the next thing you know, we were under contract.

After 21 years with one family, this Copper Canyon property gets to begin a brand-new chapter with another. It has been such a joy getting to know and work with both families through this one.

Best wishes to my sellers as they say goodbye to a home filled with memories, and congratulations to the new owners as they begin making their own. I have a feeling this property has a lot more good stories ahead of it.

Well, I did NOT see this one coming.

JUST SOLD | This one required a little extra fortitude, patience, and faith in the process.

We knew from the beginning that we had something special, but also something that wasn’t going to be for everyone. This home had a true attached in-law suite with its own kitchen, laundry, living space, and exterior access, plus the entire home was wheelchair accessible. For the right buyer, those features were incredibly valuable. We just had to find that buyer.

We had a couple of offers along the way, but they were contingent and ultimately just weren’t the right fit. Meanwhile, my sellers made the big move out of state and completely emptied the house. I can only imagine how stressful it is to drive away from an empty home and trust that your agent is going to get it sold in your absence.

And finally, the right buyer came along. 🙌 We were also fortunate to have a great agent on the other side who was an absolute pleasure to work with, and together we got everyone to the finish line.

Not every home sale is a quick one, especially in this market. Sometimes the job is knowing what you have, continuing to market what makes it special, keeping everyone steady when things don’t happen as quickly as we’d like, and having the patience to wait for the right buyer.

So happy to finally put a SOLD sign on this one. Congratulations to my sellers on closing this chapter and moving on to what’s next! ❤️
