In 1974, Andy Fisher was one of the reporters who interviewed me after our New York Stars game against the Philadelphia Bell. Fifty-two years later, we got together for lunch, and this time I had the pleasure of signing my book for him.

Andy also read and reviewed 23 A Memoir, and hearing how much he enjoyed it meant a great deal to me. There’s something special about sharing your story with someone who was there for part of it.

As the national anthem began, I thought about the little boy who had come here from Argentina and there I was, standing on a professional football field in America.

Me llamo Moe Lajterman. Llegué de Buenos Aires a los Estados Unidos con mi familia cuando tenía 11 años.

Acabo de publicar 23 A Memoir, una historia sobre familia, inmigración, fútbol americano, sueños, pérdidas y la tragedia del equipo de fútbol americano de Marshall University de 1970, en la que perdí a mi hermano Marcelo.
